Word unresponsive/freezing.
Mac OS was updated a few days ago. Word has become unresponsive when working with Zotero. Restarting both Word and Zotero allows the linkage to work well for modest amount of typing (half page?) and a few citations inserted, but then typing begins to experience a 5-20 second delay, and page scrolling is also delayed and jumps by full pages.
Word and Chrome plug-ins have been reinstalled per instructions. Both Word and Zotero are “not responding” (‘beach ball’) and must be “forced quit.”
Thank you.

Does it occur if you keep both Zotero and Word windows on screen (without using maximizing either window, and keeping both at least partially visible)?
5.22.24 – D1004364531
Beginning with a computer restart, I opened a new document and the same problems occurred. It doesn't seem to be specific to any one citation. I have replicated the problems over multiple restarts and after reinstalls/restarts.
The 'jumping and delay' refer to the Word document. It is stable for the first half page or so, but with 3-4 references inserted, the problem occurs starting with the slow keystroke response, 'beachball' for a few cycles of typing and saving, and then 'freeze'.
I have one Word document active. Both Word and Zotero are visible on screen.
Other MS products (e.g., excel) are working, however, I will confirm this is not an issue with Zotero closed.
Thank you.
