Article without DOI

Hello
I would like to cite an article in my work. However, it is from an online journal, which is like a book. Therefore, the article does not have a DOI or anything like that. When I add it to the library, no link is displayed. Can anyone help me how to display a link in the bibliography?
  • How are you adding the reference into your library? In many cases, the link will be automatically captured in the URL field, but you can add it manually if necessary.

When it comes to the bibliography in a document, the presence of the link will be controlled by the style. If that's where your question comes from, which style are you using?

Finally (but probably less important), how is the online journal "like a book"? Feel free to post a link to the website.
  • I am adding the reference with the button in the webbrowser to Zotero.
It is mandatory that I use the APA7th citation style.
It is about the articles on this website: https://www.chromatographyonline.com/view/modern-hplc-pumps-perspectives-principles-and-practices

But I found out that if I insert it as a website, the link is displayed.

    Thanks for these details.

Then, as far as I can see, the URL is properly captured into Zotero, however APA says that the link must not be displayed in such cases:

    https://apastyle.apa.org/style-grammar-guidelines/references/dois-urls

So the short answer would be "don't do it" :-)
Of course, there can be specific reasons for you to follow different guidelines on this point but I'd like to make sure before we continue with more sophisticated details.
