stupid question: add columns to library view in mac

sorry to be posting this, but I'm new to mac and cannot see a way to add columns in the documentation. I'm sure it's entirely obvious, btu I can't find it. I just see the 3 standard columns. thanks.

Right-click (or ctrl+click if you don't have right-click set up) on the column header
