【Bugs】Ipad 1.0.35

Previously, if you chose to underline with a pen when reading a document on your ipad, you would see a preview of the underlined portion of the document inside the notes on the left side, and if there were five lines, you would see five lines. Sometimes the first line is separated from the next few lines, just manually choose to merge them. But now after selecting merge in the ipad it only sees a preview of the first line, and even worse, viewing the note again on the mac reveals that the underlined lines beyond the first line have simply disappeared. I'm hoping to fix the bug in the ipad version soon, maybe just go back to two versions ago.

  • Hey @firnhome, I tried to reproduce your issue but I'm not able to do that. Can you try to write how you can reproduce it step by step? Or maybe create a short screen recording and send it to support@zotero.org while mentioning this thread. Thanks!
  • I took a few screenshots and marked the problem on them, but for some reason only one image can be uploaded on the site and I am continually reminded that “There was an error processing your image”.

If you can provide me with an email, maybe I can send you an attachment.

As for this image I uploaded, as you can see sometimes when you open a book on your IPad, you can't see the preview of the markups you've done before and you can't edit them. But this problem goes away again when the book is reopened.
  • @michalrentka I'm unable to upload any pictures. Please leave me your email address so I can attach the remaining 3 screenshots.
  • Hey @firnhome, you can just send them to support@zotero.org and mention this thread.
  • Thanks @firnhome, we've received your screenshots.

Can you reproduce those issues on any PDF or just on that specific one? If it happens on that specific PDF, can you send it to us too?
Does it happen when you only work on iPad or do you combine iPad and MacOS workflow?

I'm having hard time reproducing your issues on my device so if you have any tips or steps how to reproduce it I would greatly appreciate it.
  • @michalrentka Thank you for your prompt reply; I've emailed the PDF, and I hope it helps!
  • Hey @firnhome, we managed to pinpoint the issue. Expect a fix in an upcoming version.
