Cannot display completely

My operating system is win10,and the Zotero version is 7.0.0-beta.76+91054acfe (64-bit). Recently I found that Zotero cannot be displayed completely, or it can be displayed completely after zooming, but the font is too small, as the picture shows. How should I solve this problem? Thanks

  • I'm not sure what you mean, but you should make sure you can reproduce whatever problem you're describing in Troubleshooting Mode (Help → "Restart in Troubleshooting Mode…”), which temporarily disables all plugins.

If you can, please provide a new screenshot from that and say more about what the problem is.
  • I have been using Zotero for three years and recently found that documents were not displaying properly. In Troubleshooting Mode, Part of the content on the right side of the document cannot be fully displayed.

  • We need to see the entire window, including some margin outside of it, and we need exact Steps to Reproduce, including a link to any specific PDF you're having trouble with. It's just not clear what you're reporting here.

When I use Zotero's built-in reader to open a pdf document( Book or Article), the right half of the document cannot be fully displayed. As shown below.

I can also use the zoom button to make the entire page display fully, but the font will become smaller and there will be a larger margin. As shown below.

The above operations are all in Troubleshooting Mode.

  • It looks like you're missing the whole right side of the reader — you don't have the "Find in Document" and "Toggle Context Pane" buttons at the end of the toolbar either. This might be due to all the plugins you had installed. Try closing Zotero and deleting xulstore.json in your Zotero profile directory, or try in a new Zotero profile.
  • Thank you for your reply. I deleted xulstore.json , Restart zotero, even restart the computer. But the problem is still not solved.
  • Did you try in a new profile?
  • I tried in a new profile, the documents could display fully. However, all my previous documents can’t be found. How can I recover my previous data? urgently need your help
  • With Zotero closed, go to the original profile folder, open prefs.js in a text editor, and delete the extensions.zotero.pane.persist line.
  • The data was restored, but I couldn't restore it with a paid plug-in. I'll contact the paid plug-in provider again. Thank you very much.
  • To be clear, I was explaining how to try to fix this in your original profile so that you can switch back to that. You shouldn’t need to create a new profile. And if you’re saying you have your data in the new profile, you should make sure you haven’t duplicated all your data in a separate data directory.
