Instapaper | Share Notes/Highlights to Zotero

Hi,

I use Instapaper extensively for saving all news/web articles for my research. Currently, my workflow involves Saving to Instapaper -> Annotate (Notes/Highlights) in Instapaper -> Share Notes in Plain Text format to Apple Notes -> Manually copy the Metadata of the articles and the notes in Zotero

While sharing the notes to another application, the menu shows Zotero as an available application. A Plain Text and HTML upload shows the error "Failed to load data. Please try again". A markdown upload selects a Collection but keeps searching for items.

Can you pls suggest if there's a way to make this work

Struggling to find a solution, any help is much appreciated.

The Instapaper support team saying its a Zotero level bug, they are transferring notes to cache perfectly well.

Sharing of notes — from any app — to Zotero just isn't something that's supported or that anyone else has asked for as far as I can recall.

It's not even clear what you're expecting. You want these to become Zotero notes?

Yes, and capture some of the Metadata like the article Title and weblink
