Deriving notes from PDF on iPad?

On my laptop, I can open a paper, start an item note, highlight some text, and then directly import that text into a new note. Is there a way to do that from the iPad?

I just realised I can use the multi-window feature (https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/100837/ios-open-multiple-files-with-tab-navigation) to cut and paste from the PDF into a note. That's not a bad workaround.

The iOS app doesn't yet include the new note editor from Zotero 6 with annotation/citation features, but we're working on it. And yes, you can use Split View/etc. to copy/paste, though those annotations won't be linked back to the document like they are in the desktop app.
