Log-in password doesn't work with syncing

I am setting up Zotero on a new PC. I've downloaded and installed the software and now want to download the references into Zotero on my PC. However, when I try to put in my username and password to set up syncing, I get a message that my username or password is incorrect--even though I'm using the same ones as I used to log-in. What I am I overlooking?

    Make sure you're clicking the Set Up Syncing button, not just closing the settings window.
