Inserting citations in Google Docs on Safari

When trying to insert a citation in a Google Doc on the Safari browser, clicking Zotero is not opening the usual search bar. In the Google Docs toolbar, the Zotero listing is also doubled. The desktop Zotero application is running. Any ideas?

It is possible you have 2 versions of Zotero installed (Beta and Release?). Go into Safari Preferences -> Extensions and make sure you only have one version of Zotero Connector is enabled, from the version of Zotero that you use. Then restart both Zotero and Safari and try again.
