Style Request: [Journal of the International AIDS Society]

Hi,

I am a librarian at Boston University, and several of the faculty members that I have trained to use Zotero publish in the Journal of the International AIDS Society, but there is no style in Zotero for this journal. Here is the information:

Similar to: AMA

Differences from similar style:
1. After the authors are listed at the beginning of a citation a colon separates the authors from the article title.
2. The article title is listed in bold
3. A period does not follow the journal title.
5. The year is followed by a comma instead of a semicolon.
6. The volume number is listed in bold

Here is a link to a page that contains information on the style with examples:

http://www.jiasociety.org/info/instructions/

The style information is listed under the heading "Journal of the International AIDS Society reference style".

Thanks for your help!

  • hey - just wanted to give you a heads up that I've seen this - might be a while until I get to it (and feel free to remind me if I forget).
  • Thanks for your help!

  • Megan -
I've made the style, but your list of differences was far from comprehensive - I fixed all the things that I saw quickly, but there is a good chance there are still problems, so please test this first:
    Go here:
    http://gist.github.com/317732
download using the "Raw" link on the top right.
Drag the downloaded file "journal-of-the-international-aids-society.csl" to an open Firefox window - and click yes if prompted to install.

Please let me know how it goes - I'll fix the style or upload it to the repository if all works fine.
  • Adam,

It seems to have installed fine. Thanks for your work!

  • the journal now actually links to the style for bmc-bionformatics from it's style guide (yay!). I've added a dependent style to the new csl 1.0 repository at https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles and will eventually move to citationstyles.org
