data restoring strategy
Hello,
My computer has been out of order for a month. I have a backup of my zotero database on a hard disk, from the 9th of december 2009.
During the trouble with my computer, I have used an old computer on which I have installed Zotero, and reactivated my zotero acount. Unfortunatelly, I had not done any sync since the 25th of october 2009. It means that on that computer, my database is older than on my hard disk.
During that month, I have created a group on which I have exclusively saved my new zotero items.
Now is the time of restoring it, and I need an advice on how to do that.
- I have installed FF 3.6 and reinstalled the FF profile from the computer I used in the meantime. This means that my zotero library contains my old library, dating back october 2009, and a group library, with my last items.
- I would like to add the data from my hard disk but I don't want to overwrite my current zotero data base because I fear that I will also lose my last items (from my group library). Is it true or not?
Thank you for helping!
