Scrolling interruptions

Zotero 6.0.20
OS: NixOS 23.11 (Linux 6.8.1)
CPU: 24 × AMD Ryzen 9 3900XT 12-Core Processor
RAM: 128GiB

I'm mouse-scrolling through a scanned PDF using the embedded reader. Every 10 seconds or so it pauses for several seconds. htop shows scrolling takes 100% CPU.

Just a hunch - it feels like garbage collection.

    2) Does it happen with all PDF files?

    You can also test Zotero 7 beta to see if the issue remains.

    No I don't have sync.

    I tried three different PDFs and it happened with all of them.
