how to insert new references in a text already iniciated

Do somebody know how to insert new citations and references in a text that de list of references had already been done? I've tried to do this and it iniciates from numer on again, ignoring the citations previous order.

    References that are just plain text, you mean? Not inserted previously with Zotero or another tool?
