Bibliography of British and Irish History (was Royal Historical Society Bibliography)

The Royal Historical Society Bibliography, the standard reference on British history writing which includes details of almost all works published on the history of Britain, ever, including chapters inside collaborative works etc., was taken down on 1st January.

It has has been replaced by the "Bibliography of British and Irish History", run commercially by Brepols publishers. Even as a University of London student (and it is the University of London, through the Institute of Historical Research, who run the whole project!) I have only just been able to gain access through their pay-wall by remote login after weeks of "teething problems".

The old RHS Bibliography supported RDF metadata, and for me this was the "killer app" of Zotero. However the new BBIH (and all of the other databases hosted by Brepols) appear to have zero metadata support!

I have emailed Brepols to complain, but is there any alternative method of capturing references into Zotero?
  • maybe start with a link?
Someone could write a translator, I guess - but chances are much, much higher, if you don't expect someone from within Zotero's dev team to do that, but to find someone else - e.g. a British Historian with some js skills - there is a large queue of translator requests.
  • Sorry, that would be an obvious start! There is no direct link, you have to enter via the login at http://www.brepolis.net/ and then select "Bibliography of British and Irish History". Login is via individual membership (€100/year) or IP recognition for institutions with membership.

Is there a tutorial for writing translators ?
