How can I sync preference between my computers

I find that though database and attachments can be synced with built-in sync function or third party softwares, the preference of zotero and addons cannot be synced. This reduce the working efficiency of people who have multiple devices (people may use their workstation, laptop and pad at different occasions).

I use VS code too, and I recommend its settings sync mechanism with a good experience. The settings can be synced by overwriting synced personal modified settings onto the default settings defined in VS code itself and extensions.

    @ulahcherubim tara plugin requires backup and import manually. Also, it might be better to have built-in preference sync in zotero

    Hi, I actually built a plugin that does exactly this. It syncs your Zotero preferences, installed plugins, citation styles, and Quick Copy settings between devices using Zotero's built-in sync.

    It's called Zotero Settings Sync: https://zotero-settings-sync.pages.dev/

    Two buttons in Zotero Settings: "Sync to Cloud" and "Apply from Cloud". No extra account needed. Works with Zotero 8.
