Overheating Mac every time I open the application.

Any advice on how to stop my Mac 13" Pro from overheating every time I open Zotero? It stops charging and then will eventually crash. This only happens when Zotero is open. I am using the plugin to collect articles in Chrome.

    Can you provide a Debug ID for Zotero startup through a few minutes of this happening, using the "Restart with Logging Enabled…" option?

    Are you using any third-party plugins?

    When you say it crashes, do you mean that it freezes or quits completely?

    If you look in Activity Monitor while this is happening, what do you see for Zotero's CPU and memory usage?
