Copy does not working inside a part of (end-to-end working) the highlighted texts

Could you describe step by step what are you doing and where exactly it doesn't behave as expected?

step 1- opening a pdf inside zotero
step 2-highlighting a sentence from start to end.
step 3-selecting the sentence from start or from the end and right click -copy
step 4-then if i want to select part of that highlighted sentence ,not from the start ,not from the end , let say from the middle

In that case no cursor is shown.when clicked ,the annotation box appeared.

Hold the Alt/Option key to select the text under the annotation.

That works.I dont want to miss another trick .where this shortcuts are provided?!
