Feature request: Download attachment before/after copying reference to group/user library
Currently, the behavior of Zotero 6 seems to be the following:
- a reference has an attachment that has not yet been downloaded (attachment is greyed out)
- copy that reference to a group by dragging / dropping it
Result:
The copied reference also has a greyed-out attachment, but when double-clicking the attachment to open it, Zotero complains that it cannot find the attachment. The reason is that the attachment items are copied (and get a new ID) without, however, copying the original file.
This gets very impractical in a setup where attachments are downloaded on-demand to save disk space on the computer.
Is there a technical reason which would prevent a asynchronous download of the attachement before or after the reference is copied?
