Bibliography not updating

Hi. I am editing a review and added in some new references to the word document I am working with. When I click "refresh" it adds these references starting from 1 and does not integrate them with the previous bibliography. I tried deleting the bibliography and reinserting it but it only gives me the newly added references. Do you have any suggestions on how I intergrate these newly added with the previous 60+ already there. Many thanks
