Upgrade StorageGoogle docs extension not working

I have the extension downloaded and have ensured it is up to date, as is my chrome browser. I have restarted and removed/redownloaded the extension a few times.
whenever I click 'add/edit citation' nothing seems to happen - I have the zotero main window open, and can't see any other windows appearing.
any advice on how to get this to work??

adomasvenThe first thing to try is to restart Zotero and refresh the Google Docs page. If it doesn't work then, provide a Debug ID from Zotero (not the Zotero Connector) for an attempt to cite.
