Cannot retrieve PDF metadata. Stuck on "Processing"

I have been trying all day to retrieve the metadata from PDFs. I have tried PDFs from different journals and websites, I have tried updating Zotero, and I deleted a ton of files to make sure there was plenty of room. Is Zotero down?

    Can you restart Zotero and provide a Debug ID for an attempt that fails (if it still does)?

    I deleted the whole program, reinstalled, and it kept failing. Two hours later it started working. I am hoping it was a fluke. I had planned to give a demonstration to a group of people on this feature and now I am nervous that it won't work during the talk.

    Deleting and reinstalling the program didn’t do anything. This was most likely just some network issue on your end or an outage from one of the metadata providers we use, but no way to say without a Debug ID.
