Unable to change item type on iOS iPad

When documents are uploaded into Zotero many are listed as ‘ attachment’ and I am unable to make this change using my iPad 12.9; , I must utilize my MacBook change the type. Additionally, it is listed as an attachment on my iPad, I am unable to create or add an abstract to the document. Both of these problems be corrected using the iPad and not having to utilize my MacBook?

    You'd have to tap and hold on the attachment and create a parent item. But Zotero for iOS doesn't yet support PDF metadata retrieval, so generally you'd want to just run that on the desktop rather than manually entering metadata on iOS.

    But where possible, you should just save from the article page rather than saving PDFs directly to Zotero. Like the Zotero Connector on the desktop, Zotero for iOS will save metadata and the PDF if available to your library and you won't need to rely on PDF metadata retrieval.
