iPad - Error: Unable to unzip snapshot

I'm attempting to download the PDF files on my iPad, which were previously synced on my laptop. However, I've been encountering an error message stating: "Error: Unable to unzip snapshot."
Even after restarting the iPad and reinstalling Zotero, the problem remains unresolved. Strangely, following the reinstallation, none of the previously stored files in Zotero on my iPad are accessible anymore. The same error message now appears for every file. Urgently seeking assistance to resolve this issue.

  • Can you provide a Debug ID for trying to open a file?
  • Here is the debug ID: D79407164

Please note that the synchronization process has occurred, and the error typically arises for files that I didn't try to download initially, indicating they are now downloadable. However, for files marked with exclamation marks, the error persists despite this.
  • This is WebDAV? What happens if you click Verify Server for the WebDAV server in the Sync settings?
  • The server gets verified, there is no issues there.
  • And can you then still reproduce this after doing that?
  • reproduce what? Error: Unable to unzip snapshot still appears for many of the files.
  • Can you provide a Debug ID from the Zotero desktop app for opening a file after deleting it (via right-click → Show File), so that it triggers a download?

Might as well try the same file: paste "CTXULAAG" into the search bar in All Field & Tags mode in your library root.
  • Here is the Debug ID: D1732277016.

I attempted to replicate the issue by opening a PDF file in Zotero on my Windows desktop. After viewing the file path, I deleted it from there. Then, I returned to the app and attempted to open the file again to trigger a download. Is this the action you were requesting?
  • i have same problem
  • @ireneyuting: Can you also provide a Debug ID from the iOS app for reproducing this?
  • Hi my debug id is D1529370428
  • @ireneyuting: Can you tap and hold on the item, select Remove Download, and then generate another Debug ID for trying to open it?
  • Ok,this is my new Debug ID D305058413. Thanks.
  • That doesn’t show any download attempt. Can you try again?
  • Can you please give an update. I'm loosing my courses and grades are getting affected.
  • I' had the same problem and my debug ID is:D1684315363

  • I have the same problem with zoter on my iPad, but after updating it still doesn't solve the problem what should I do?

  • @LVWENMING: If you go into the settings and look at the bottom, what version are you running?
  • Here's my version.

  • That's not the current version. As noted above, this is fixed in 1.0.30.
  • Can I uninstall zotero and re-download it from the App Store to solve this problem?
