Delete a footnote remnant

I thought my document was an MLA. But on my paper I created a footnote in Chicago. How do I delete the footnote line?

You'd have to say a bit more -- what exactly do you want to delete? To just delete a footnote, you'd delete the footnote number in the text it in your word processor, but I'm probably misunderstanding what you're trying to do.
