Sync not working, no error message, no group library showing up

I'm helping to do some troubleshooting for another Zotero user (emiller2). She's running 2.0rc5 on Firefox 3.6 on a Mac, and for some reason the Group Library she belongs to is not showing up in her Zotero browser client (she can access the library online). When she clicks the Sync button, nothing happens. We looked at the error reports for her session, and got the following messages:

Exception: Sync already running in Zotero.Sync.Runner.Sync()

Some of the error messages had "uncaught exception" in the place of "Exception" above.

  • This could occur if a sync process is running and a browser window is closed and another one opened. (Ideally Zotero would provide sync feedback across all windows, but it doesn't at the moment.) Restart Firefox to get proper sync feedback.
