Attch from file

My Attach drop down is not working. I cannot attach any file from my hard disk. Please help!!

    Not working how? Greyed out, triggers an error message, pulls up the selection dialog but doesn't attach, something else?

    Zotero desktop 6.0.35
    Desktop only (web is working, so is mobile)

    When I press the "attach" toggle on the desktop the drop down menu emerges but when I press load a file nothing happens. The same for the other two options.
