applications with add-ons are generally blocked on company computer

When I try to install zotero on my company computer (windows), I get the error message "7-ZIP". The IT specialist at the office assumes that I can't install the program because applications with "add-ons" are generally blocked. Is there any way around this problem?

    7-Zip is just another app. What's the full error message you are getting (though generally speaking, if your IT imposed rules for software installation, they would need to help you with that. We can't reverse engineer those types of things
