Zotero Not Working

I have uninstalled and reinstalled over five times.

I tried Chrome, Edge, and Mozilla. Everything seems to be installed correctly.

This is what's happening when I try to add a citation by typing in the red box/Absolutely nothing comes up.

I tried the author, and article title. HELP!!

And you do actually have items in your local library?

I think I'm using the correct terminology. Microsoft Word

I have not added anything to my library.

Do I need to check for items in my library?

You can only add items to Word that are already in your library -- the word processor bar doesn't search the internet, it searches Zotero.

I understand -- but you would only find Anheier there if there was a work by that author in your local Zotero library.

Okay, so how do get this in my library to start my citation list

I thought I typed what I was looking for and the items show.
