The Zotero links on my word document disappeared.

After I used Zotero, and saved my file, I can no longer see that citations are linked to Zotero. The bibliography seems linked to Zotero , but when I try to edit the bibliography, it asks me what citation format I would like to use as though it is the first time I am linking the citations to Zotero and then gives an error message. I tried restarting Zotero and word.

I am providing images for linked bibliography and unlinked citations in the same document.

what happens when you show field codes for the whole document -- do they show for citations? https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/word_field_codes

Thanks Adam, I use a Mac, so I could not figure out how to display field codes for the whole document from the link you provided me with. When I right click the references the attached image shows the field code I receive. Nothing happens when I right click the citations.

You can toggle field codes for the whole document with Option-Fn-F9.
