How to remove authors' first initials in APA 7 format, stop refs underlining, and docs crashing?
Hi - I've got an enormous psychology PHD thesis with numerous referencing issues using APA 7 format in Zotero.
1) The first problem is that Zotero adds first initials to the in-citation references when I have papers written by the same author in different years. For example, (S.L. Shapiro, 2005) should just be (Shapiro, 2005) since there are not two 2005 papers by Shapiro (see below for the full references). Editing all of these by hand is not only super time-consuming, but it may also contribute to my other issues.
2) I get many in-text citations underlined and can't update or re-link citations without
3) the document is crashing when I try to refresh the citations in word, and your general instructions about fixing this by copying a document and working through it section by section don't work - perhaps because of point 1?
Please help! Thank you.

For 3, if by "crashing" you mean "freezing", you're almost certainly just not waiting long enough.
