Can you update item details (Info) of an existing item using identifier or URL

Hi. I am cleaning up a Zotero Group library that has a lot of items that have very brief or incorrect citation details. I was wondering if there is any way to use the DOI or other identifier in the record to update the details for that item rather than manually correcting it or creating a new duplicate item (using the connector or Identifier tool) and either merging or moving attachments etc. and deleting. Thank you.

    Not currently, but coming. For now, adding again and merging is the best option. Don't delete.
