Having issues with downloading pdfs

Some of the articles i have in zotero don't have their pdf downloaded by default. When selecting "find available pdf" option it still won't download the pdf. I'm using my institution VPN to access these articles and the pdf are accessible through my web browser. I'm using Floorp (a fork of firefox), the zotero app and the zotero connector mozilla extension.

If default download of PDFs doesn't work on a site that should include the PDF, it's very unlikely that "Find available PDF" will work (it uses the same site and script). If you provide examples where PDFs aren't downloaded (other than Sciencedirect -- for that, see pinned thread), we can take a look.
