Mac Input Issue: Command+Delete Deletes All Instead of Before Cursor

I am using a Mac. I found that in the Zotero search box, regardless of the cursor's position, using command+delete deletes all content. However, its correct behavior should be: "delete all content before the cursor." Additionally, many places where text can be input have similar issues. I hope improvements can be made. Thank you!
