Google Docs Stopped Working with Zotero

For the past few days, Google Docs has not been working reliably with Zotero. I see that I am not alone with this problem, and there have been intervals where things have seemed to get back to normal. So two questions: 1. Should I just keep writing, inserting placeholders in my text, e.g., [cite Krieger], assuming that the situation will improve within a few more days, or 2. Should I begin employing a workaround, and what might this be? Thanks!
