How can I get citations to paste as RTF into browser-based word processors?

When I copy citations to the clipboard, they paste fine into LIbreOffice on my desktop, but if I paste them into a Google Doc or a Word document on Sharepoint, they paste with HTML markup. My workaround is to paste as plaintext, but then I lose the italics. Does anyone know how to paste formatted text from Zotero into the browser?

(It also works if I paste into LibreOffice and then copy and paste that into my browser document, but that's also a pain.)
