reference style for Nucleic Acids Therapeutics wrong
These are the instructions for the correct style for Nucleic Acid Therapeutics, which does not correspond to the one in Zotero:
References should be listed numerically in the text in the order of appearance as consecutive numbers in brackets, e.g., [1,2]. Where there are more than two references, the citation should appear as hyphenated numbers, e.g., [1–3]. References should be typed double-spaced in numerical order of citation, listing all authors up to 11 - if over 11, list the first 9 and then et al. Abbreviations of journals should conform to those used in MEDLINE. The following formats must be used:
Journal citation:

Again, only last year, 2023, I was commissioned to create 2 styles for MAL (author-date + numeric) and create dependent styles for those, in order to homogenise all their styles.
I had emailed an editor (my old contact left) to clarify this as can be seen in the linked thread, but got a "no answer" answer from them.
