Automatically upload changed PDFs

Can Zotero automatically detect if a PDF has been edited locally and upload the modified version to the server? I do automatic OCR to all PDFs on my computer and would like to automatically share these OCRd versions with Zotero.

    Yes, as long as the PDF itself is changed (and, specifically, its timestamp is updated).

    This is great. I can now set up a weekly automator workflow that OCRs all PDFs in the Zotero folder that were added within a week and all the users of our group library automatically get OCRd PDFs

    Would it make sense in the long run to have a feature to automatically OCR PDFs on the server side?

    You're in luck: We'll be announcing the availability of something along these lines within the next month or so as part of our partnership with the Internet Archive.
