ProQuest not recognizing Item Type

I have students accessing library resources using ProQuest. If a student is using Safari or Firefox (have yet to test with Edge) and save an Article with browser plug in Zotero will save the metadata as a web page. It also includes a snapshot of the article.

What is causing this? If I'm using chrome I have no problem whatsoever.

We'd need sample URLs, exactly as they see them, as well as the permalink to the items, to be able to tell. It's not a known issue.

That one is an ebook from the ebookcentral database -- items from that database look very different and don't currently import properly into Zotero via the Save to Zotero button, though you (and/or your students) can import via the "Cite"button on the left and the "Endnote/Citavi"

Thanks for reminding me about the "Endnote/Citavi". I find explaining the nuances of how Zotero imports content (browsers, various sites and content) to be challenging for incoming students.

What's interesting is I don't see the same problem with Chrome, only Firefox and Safari.

Right, ideally students wouldn't need to know about hacks like the Citation export button.

I see this working on Edge (which is basically Chrome under the hood), too, thanks for pointing that out. That might mean it's harder to fix, but we'll see what we can do.
