Are there some documents that lay out Zotero's architecture & APIs?
I'm interested in developing a plugin but would like to get the "big picture" first.

You've seen Zotero 7 for Developers?

For the API, we don't currently have formal documentation, but see JavaScript API for some examples. Beyond that, the source code and other plugins are your best guide.

If you have questions, post to zotero-dev. We try to keep technical discussions there.

So far I've just had a look at the "Make It Red" sample.
I will start with "Zotero 7 for Developers" and then the JS API examples.
I'll post any questions to zotero-dev.
