Zotero crashes when using word plugin
About two month ago, after updating my MacBook to the newest OS and updating Zotero, the Zotero word-plugin started malfunctioning. At first, I got an error message displaying a message "word could not communicate with Zotero" (I am paraphrasing, I can't remember the exact message). I tried all kinds of troubleshooting solutions - like reinstalling Zotero, reinstalling the plugin, etc - but the problem persisted. I worked around the problem by manually copying the references in Zotero, which works ok but is obviously inferior to having direct word integration.
Then, a couple of weeks ago, I think after restarting my laptop (I didn't install any new updates so far as I remember) and trying the plugin again, a new kind of reference search bar popped up. Instead of the classic red-border search bar, I now got a mini zotero window in which I can browse through my library and select and customize references. This is all very exciting, but when I then click 'ok' to insert te reference, Zotero just crashes and there is no reference in my document.
Can someone help me with this problem? The specifications of my devices and software are the following:
MacBook Pro 16GBb on MacOS Sonoma 14.3.1 (23D60)
Using Zotero 6.0.22m4 with the Juris-M add-on (for legal references)

The mini Zotero window is the "classic" citation dialog. You would've had to have turned that on in the Cite pane of the settings.
