URL no longer accessible after attachment of PDF

It's a very useful feature of Zotero that the source URL of a reference item can be quickly accessed by clicking the reference. This functionality sadly disappears when a PDF is attached and now instead leads to a PDF viewer. I would like to have a way of quickly accessing the original web site even if a PDF is attached. The zotero parent item could be linked to the URL while the PDF child in the folder opens in the PDF viewer. That's the behaviour I would expect.
