Search annotations in PDF "find in document"

I was wondering if there were any way to search within a PDF, using the CTRL-f "find in document" feature for text in an annotation. I have a large number of long, hand-written PDFs (for which OCR is neither possible or necessary) to which I would like to add some bookmarks with which to search. Any chance this is already/could be possible?

You can search annotations from annotations sidebar on the left. Isn't that enough?
