Upgrade StorageCreating a bibliography from different sub folders

I need to create a selected bibliography for my PhD thesis. The items I need to include are scattered across many sub-folders in Zotero.
To do this, I was planning to: move each item I want in Zotero into one final folder and then create bibliography from that one folder.
I think the advantage of this might be that if I wanted to make any last minute changes I could just add/ remove items and quickly recreate the bibliography.
Is there a better way of doing this? Like selecting items from across folders...?

adamsmithIt's either that or tags (potentially colored tags) -- you cannot select effectively across subcollections, no.
