PDF Reader: No transfer of annotations to notes possible when highlighting text

If I want to add an annotation to the notes in the PDF Reader, this works perfectly via the "Select area" icon, but unfortunately not at all via the pencil icon (highlight text). What could be the reason for this?

    Can you take a screenshot that shows what you're doing and what's happening?

    Make sure you can reproduce this with all third-party plugins disabled.

    I have reinstalled Zotero and now it works!
