View references in Zotero used in open document

I'm looking for a way in Zotero to view all the referenced items in an open document. Endnote has this function where a temporary group is created in the Endnote programme window containing all references in an open document. This is very helpful when your library is enormous and you want to quickly make a few edits to the items you're citing in your current paper. For instance when working with titles in multiple languages and thus different traditions for capitalising. Or when you alternate between publishing languages and occasionally need to change location from Cologne to Köln or vice versa. Identifying and correcting these issues in the reference manager is faster than creating a bibliography in the word processer and then going back and forth to the reference manager.

Doesn't Zotero have a similar function?

This will be coming in a future version, but in the meantime you can use Reference Extractor, select all items, and create a collection.
