How to format a document so that Zotero can extract the metadata efficiently ?
Hello everyone,
I am sorry if this topic already exists in the forum, I could not find it.
The current format of my organism's graphic charter and page layout for their missions reports cannot be read properly by Zotero : the metadata is not extracted correctly from the document. It is a problem as we work with a community of people that need to cite regularly our reports and using Zotero with our documents would help them a lot.
Is there a specific way to format the page layout of our documents so that Zotero can read them and extract the metadata efficiently (Title, authors, date, key-words....) ?
Thank you a lot in advance !

adamsmithZotero doesn't try to read structured data from PDFs. The best way to get Zotero to recognize a PDF is to deposit it somewhere where it gets a DOI assigned and then include the DOI on the first pages of the PDF (placing the PDF somwhere with good metadata also allows people to download metadata and PDF at once)
