Upgrade StorageWord shows a message that plugins are disabled

Hi,
it seems like I have the same issue. The Buttons are visible but unresponsive and Word shows a message that plugins are disabled. The startup-folder is trusted but Word 2021 will not run zotero as it assumes the certificate is outdated. Word 2016 works fine.
I tried to reinstall the plugin both manually and automatically a few times.
Any idea how I can solve the issue?
