Upgrade StorageZotfile Renaming Format will not exceed default 80 characters
I can change the 'maximum length of title' option to other numbers (e.g., 200 characters) or even uncheck the box that limits characters. Nothing makes a difference - every time I rename a file using Zotfile it ends up at exactly 80 characters, which is the default number. I only just installed Zotero and Zotfile today so everything is up-to-date. Running on up-to-date Windows 11. Syncing using a folder on OneDrive.
In Zotfile preferences under Renaming Rules, do you have 'Use Zotero to Rename' turned OFF (as it should be).
When you select an item in the Zotero main pane and hit the Update button in Zotfile preferences to Preview Current Renaming Rules, is the result correct according to the rules you have defined ?
Zotfile renaming may have some long-outstanding issues (eg below). There have been few enhancements/bug fixes in recent years (and for most people Zotfile just 'works').

Zotfile's core functionality will be replaced with one or more new plugins under Zotero v7 (currently in beta), which will hopefully execute the renaming rules faithfully.

Zotero itself has more powerful renaming under v7 than the more basic version it had up to v6.
