DeGruyter translator falsely downloads front matter as „Full Text PDF“

Hi all,
when trying to get this book (https://www.degruyter.com/document/doi/10.4159/harvard.9780674067677/html), to which I have access, imported into Zotero, I've noticed that Zotero only downloads the front matter and falsely labels it "Full Text PDF". The problem is probably that DeGruyter is not displaying the full book download link for this book as they do for other works but only allows downloading the individual chapters for whatever reason.

(I assume it's unrelated to my other problems with the translator: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/109511/issue-with-the-degruyter-translator#latest).
  • Yeah, the current behavior is definitely wrong (I don't have the above licensed, but testing on https://www.degruyter.com/document/doi/10.7208/chicago/9780226830353/html and seems to be a general issue).
What would you expect Zotero to do? -- I don't think we should just download all the PDFs automatically there. Individual chapters behave as expected and download the chapter.
  • I usually just download the individual chapters in those cases and merge the pdfs. So for me the best solution would probably be that Zotero just doesn't download any file if it cannot download the whole book.
  • I also have the problem with their site that books download as book sections.
  • yeah, we can definitely do that. We could offer a multi-selector (folder) for the chapters, but I'm thinking that most people won't actually want the chapter metadata since these are monographs

I've now seen a case in which a book has a full text pdf available to which I have access (doi.org/10.1515/9783110375244) - still, the translator only imports the front matter and falsely labels it "Full Text PDF".

Edit: I think this behavious is also described here: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/comment/423102/#Comment_423102
