"Zotero experienced an error updating your document"

I've just started using Microsoft 365 Word, and when I try to add/edit a citation, I receive the error message in the discussion title. I uninstalled Zotero and reinstalled it, it didn't work. I deleted zotero.dotm file and reran it as explained on Zotero website. The problem persists.

I've done everything in there step by step, and it still receive the same message. I use Microsoft 365's Word processor, but I have another computer which I use Microsoft 365, and Zotero seems to work with that just fine.

The task manager's "details" column shows that both the word processor and zotero are run by the user. However, when I right clicked on the word processor and hit the properties button and went to the "compatibility" tab, I realized that "run as administrator" option was ticked. I unticked it, and reopened both my word processor and zotero, and it works fine :)

OK, great. We'll update that part of the instructions to say to check Properties → Compatibility explicitly.
